Mohd Said Nurumal is an Associate Professor at Kulliyyah of Nursing, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and formerly held a post of Dean and Deputy Chairman for Nursing Council of Public Higher Learning Institution. He completed his basic nursing education at the University of Malaya and obtained his Bachelor of Nursing Studies (Hons) at Dublin, Ireland.

He then pursues his Master degree in Medical Education at School of Medical Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia Kubang Kerian. He received a Doctoral of Philosophy degree in nursing from Chiang Mai University. Prior to joining IIUM, he was an emergency practitioner at the Trauma and Emergency Department, University of Malaya Medical Centre. His research interest includes both nursing education and clinical practice mainly in trauma and emergency fields. His main role towards Marine School is to empower coastal communities on life saving components for a safer, hygiene and healthy environment.
